Australian born Simon has vast experience in all aspects of football. He has an extensive network of federations, leagues, clubs, coaches and players and with some of the leading figures in the global game. He shares player development opportunities (identification/training/tryouts), leads custom team tours and provides coach mentoring, including setting up visits to professional clubs. He is a former Assistant to Wiel Coerver at Al Wasl in Dubai; Founder of PSV Union F.C and World Soccer. At 17 he was a standout with New Zealand Champions, Christchurch United playing alongside 6 players from the 1982 World Cup Finals, scoring a hatrick in his 1st game; played for Brisbane Lions as a 17 year old after impressing for Gold Coast senior select team against Brisbane City and declined contract offer to play for Brisbane Lions in favor of playing in Europe; considered the best youth player at Chelsea FC; Trained at F.C Barcelona U18’s; selected for Queensland State Team (indoor and outdoor); strike partner of future Chelsea FC and USA national team star Roy Wegerle at University of South Florida; became one of the first players from New Zealand and Australia to play college soccer in the USA. (see story); spent a spring season for Boca Raton (#1 ranked college team in USA); played for the British All Stars in the Lake Placid Soccer America Indoor Championships, winning the event, MVP and leading scorer; offered contract with Australian Champions St George Budapest; considered one of best players in USA; widely considered to be one of the top players in the MLS draft; leading player/scorer/sometimes coach of 1994 U.S Open Cup Champions & CONCACAF Finalists San Jose Oaks; 1 of 3 San Francisco Bay Blackhawks (predecessor of San Jose Clash & San Jose Earthquakes) designated international players; ankle break in 1994 forced him out of training game vs. Brazilian 1994 World Cup team; received multiple MLS contract offers; played in Czech Republic with FK Rakovnik and Sparta Prague (loaned to Blsany); invited by Crown Prince of Brunei to play at DPMM; trained at Wimbledon FC (Reserves); played for Crystal Palace Reserves; trialed at Hearts (Scotland); helped numerous players gain playing experience and coaches from Lyon, Wimbledon F.C, Liverpool F.C, Sparta Prague, Spartak Moscow, Celtic, Corinthians Sao Paolo, MTK Budapest etc have worked for him at his camps; received visit from Pele during 1994 World Cup; Director of World Soccer European Tours. On a soccer team tour to England he once beat the dribbling course record of Chelsea FC ltalian legend Gianfranco Zola at the Chelsea FC store at Stamford Bridge wearing street clothes.
